Shabari : The story of Great Devotion

Who was Shabari?

It is said that Shabari belonged to the Bhil caste. In this caste, animals were sacrificed for good deeds. She has been a devotee of Lord Rama since childhood. In the morning, she used to worship and fast for Ram Ji.

When her marriage was finalized then goats and buffaloes were brought for sacrifice. To save the lives of these animals, she decided not to get married and left the house.

On the way, she also saw an ashram but could not muster the courage to go inside. At that time, Matang Rishi came there and asked Shabari about her aim . After much thought, he allowed her to come to the ashram. In a few days, she became beloved by everyone with her devotion to Ram and good behavior. For many years she served Matang Rishi as her father. But one day, the weak body of Matang Rishi left him. But before that, he went to bless Shabri that she would definitely see Lord Rama one day.

Many years passed. Shabri used to lay flowers on the way every day and would arrange the bhog. In the hope that Lord Ram will definitely come to meet with her. And, one day Lord Rama reached the ashram of Matang Rishi in search of Mother Sita. A sage placed Ram ji and gave a voice to Shabri. He said with a voice that the God whom you worship day and night has come to the ashram himself. Come and serve Ram ji with full heart.

In order to feed sweet berry to her God, she started tasting them. Started giving good and sweet beers to Ram Ji and throwing the sour beers. Lord Ram became fascinated by this devotion of Shabari. But Ram ji's brother Lakshmana was surprised to see why brother is eating the false one. On this, Lord Rama explained the symptoms that these shows devotional of Shabri and the  love in it towards her master.

Ayodhya Verdict : Be Humble not to lead the Violence

Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Ram is the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who incarnated on earth to kill Ravana in the Treta era. Kaushalya Nandan Prabhu Shri Ram used to love alike his  brothers Laxman, Bharat and Shatrughan. He fulfilled the promise given by his father, willingly accepting the desire of 14-year imprisonment.

Lord Shri Ram is called as a Maryada Purushottam because he never violated the dignity in his life.He never uttered the word 'why' in obeying the command of his parents and the Guru. He became an ideal son, disciple, brother, husband, father and king, in whose kingdom the people were full of happiness and prosperity.

On crossing the Ganges by Kewat (Boatman)  Vanbas , God crossed him in Bhavsagar. Ram Ji is a repository of virtues, which is why people consider life their ideal. Lord Rama, who is all-encompassing, remained common even though unusual.

On becoming Yuvraj, there was no happiness on his face and there was no sadness on his face even when he went to forest. He could have wiped out the entire ocean with only one arrow, but he requested to give way to the sea with a humble spirit, considering public welfare as the best.

Satisfied with the devotional spirit of Shabari and gave him 'Navadha Bhakti'. By adopting God's ideals in life in the present age, man can find success in every field. His ideals are a source of inspiration for the world.

Today Ayodhya verdict is declared. Hope all should follow the rule of Ram Ji's life. Not to spread the negative messages which may lead to be unsocial. We all are being Indian.

Jay Hind , Jay Bharat

Pride is the root of demise : A lesson from Mahabharat

As advised by Rishi Vedavyas , Pandavas decided to go the Himalaya for searching the route of  heaven. In the way a dog joined with them.

The Pandavas reached the Himalayas while traveling. When the Pandavas crossed the Himalayas, they saw a sea of sand. They then saw Sumeru mountain. The five Pandavas, Draupadi and that dog started moving fast. Suddenly Draupadi fall down & died.

Seeing Draupadi situation , Bhima told Yudhishthira that - Draupadi never committed any sin. Then what is the reason that she fell down. Yudhishthira said that - Draupadi loved Arjuna more than all of us. That is why it has happened . Saying this, Yudhishthira went ahead without seeing Draupadi. After some time Sahadev also died.

When Bhimsen asked the reason ,  Yudhishthira said that Sahadev did not consider anyone like him a scholar, due to this defect he has to die today. Nakula also fall down and died after some time. On Bhima's asking, Yudhishthira said that Nakula was very proud of his good looking and smartness .

After a while Arjun also died. Yudhishthira told Bhimsen that Arjuna was proud of his archery. Arjuna always thought that he will destroy the enemies in a single day, but could not do so. The situation of Arjun had happened because of his proudness. Saying this, Yudhishthira moved forward.

Bhima also fell a little further. When Bhima told Yudhishthira the reason for this, he told that you were eating a lot and used to falsely demonstrate your strength. That's why you have to fall to the ground today. Saying this, Yudhishthira went ahead. Only that dog walked with him.

After sometime Devraj Indradev appeared with his chariot to take Yudhistira to heaven.

Then Yudhishthira told Indra Ji that - My brother and Draupadi had fallen in the way. They should also accompany us, make such arrangements. Indra then said that all of them had already reached heaven. They have renounced their bodies and reached heaven and you will go to heaven with your earthly body.

On hearing Indra Ji, Yudhishthira said that this dog is my supreme devotee. Therefore, allow it to go to heaven with me too, but Indra refused to do so. When Yudhishthira did not agree to go to heaven without that dog, even after explaining for a long time, Yamaraja came in his real form (that dog was actually Yamraj). Yamraj was very pleased on Yudhishthira attitude . After this, Devraj Indra took Yudhishthira to his chariot and took him to heaven.

My dear friends we have to extract the gist of the story and could follow the attitude Yudhistir had. Nothing is permanent in this beautiful world but your work. Always we have to stand upon our honesty , our truthness.

Always remember in mind that pride is the root of demise.
