It is the reality that whenever we feel the difficulties in our life , we just follow our God. He may or may not be always there. But he just spread far example by which we may overcome our difficulties.
And where we found such example? Obviously our Puran , our mythology. It is a small step to spread some valuable moralistic story of the Almighty by which we feel relax.
