Hi friends.
I am here with another story. Chhat puja is here to celebrate. Our 12 th months are distributed by 13 th festival. So good na. So many unity with that much .
of diversities
By the way today's story is all about our Mahaparv Chhat. Basically celebrated in Bihar , Jharkhand , UP and some part of Nepal also.
In this case also stories are so many. But here I discuss on 3 main story.
No 1: Ramayana
After returning to Ayodhya from an exile of 14 years , Ram ji and Sita Maiya had kept fast together and offered a worship to Surya Vagwan including his sister Sasthi mata in Kartik month's Shukla Paksha for the holy occasion of Ram ji coronation in his kingdom.
People are worshipped of Sasthi mata or Chhat mata for good health of their children.
Ramji always had thougth that all the Ayodya basi were same as like his children.
No 2: Mahabharat
This is the story when Draupadi with Pandavas were in exile of 14 years in jungle. It is believed that once the pandvas faced lots of trouble even they had no meal to spend their life. Sage Dhaumya recommended them for adulation of Lord Sun to help them.
Also advice them to perform the Chhat puja for salvation from the situation.
Since that time chhat puja is celebrated traditionally.
No 3:Markanday Puran
There was a king named Priyabrat and his wife Malini both were unhappy because they had no child. As advice by Rishi Kashyap they decided to perform a "Yagya".
By this queen malini got pregnant but unfortunately delivered a death son.
King Priyabrat was so tensed that he wished to sacrifice his life in the river.
But suddenly the Goddess Devsena came and advice himself to start her worship in the kingdom . Also promise to fulfill his wishes.
Conventionally the new married couple keep the fast to get a Son as a first child in Chhat puja. And the most hilarious thing is they are abound by to get the male child from a female God (Goddess) Chhat mata.
We may try so many times to disturb the eco system but God is always there to balance it.
God is good kind for all.
Bye.
